A recent testimony from Sophie Raboud of the UGA Police Department shed light on a heartbreaking sequence of events involving Laken Riley. According to the testimony, Riley's last communication on her phone was a text message to her mother, expressing a desire to talk. The message, sent at 8:55 a.m., conveyed a simple yet poignant sentiment: 'Good morning, about to go for a run if you’re free to talk.'
Following the text message, Riley attempted to reach her mother by phone at 9:03 a.m., but received no answer. Concerned, she made another call at 9:11 a.m., this time to 911 for emergency assistance. The urgency of the situation was palpable as Riley sought help through the emergency services.
