Two people have died following a horror crash on the A9 in Caithness.
The alarm was raised shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday, November 29, when officers were alerted to a white Land Rover Defender having been involved in a smash at Achavanich, north of Latheron.
Emergency crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, raced to the scene but sadly, the 46-year-old male driver and 50-year-old female passenger were both pronounced dead upon arrival.
