There was a lot of debate around the Graduate Route visa after reports came out that the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was contemplating restrictions on the post-study visa. However, this move faced significant opposition from some of his ministers.
A rapid review by the UK govt’s immigration advisors recommended that the Graduate visa which allowed international students to get or seek employment in the UK for two years after they graduate, should continue. Indian student representative bodies welcomed this review.
