Indian shuttlers face an uphill task at the BWF Sudirman Cup which will kick off in Suzhou, China, on Sunday. The Sudirman Cup team event comprises five matches - men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed.
Notwithstanding the fact that India are the reigning Thomas Cup champions and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have won the Asian title only last month, India needs to work very hard to finish on the podium. India never reached the semifinals of this event.
