DEHRADUN: With Uttarakhand going to polls on Monday, residents in rural areas said they urgently need better healthcare, jobs and improved waste management while those in urban areas said they want better roads and green belts.

Dehradun has five assembly segments, namely, Dharampur, Rajpur Road, Raipur, Dehradun Cantt and Mussourie. Largely residential areas, the populace is a mix of urban and rural belts. The city has had a history of low voter turnout in the past.
