A van driver who failed to move his vehicle caused a headache for workers trying to resurface the road.

Rather than abandon the job, they decided to work round it - meaning a van-sized patch of road was left without the improvement.

The new surface was laid in Cranleigh Road, Worthing, West Sussex.
