Inquests at Leeds United have been in short supply since the final-day drama at Brentford, at least publicly. There can be little doubt about the private talks which have gone on for weeks about where last season went wrong.
Andrea Radrizzani, 49ers Enterprises, Victor Orta and Angus Kinnear are all experienced enough to know they cannot allow for another campaign like that to happen again. Serious questions had to have been asked of one another to establish where and why it went so badly wrong.
Beyond the owner’s letter to fans in the hours after the Brentford win, there has been nothing in the public domain from the board. However, actions speak louder than words and the recruitment department is acting.
