VIJAYAWADA: A degree final year student here consumed acid mistaking it for water. The acid damaged his internal organs and he is now battling for life in the ICU of a private hospital.
According to police, Chaitanya Kosuru, a final year aviation student of Andhra Loyola college, went to play volleyball with friends and while returning he approached a roadside shop at Enikepadu her to buy a bottle of water.
The shopkeeper, who was in a hurry, accidentally gave him a bottle of acid instead of a bottle of drinking water. As soon as Chaitanya consumed it, he fell sick. His friends rushed him to a nearby private hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
