Politicians have said they are working to find a solution to “defective cladding” at a private housing development in Glasgow.

The Scottish Government has put in place a round-the-clock “waking watch” to alert residents in the event of a fire breaking out at the flats.

Kaukab Stewart, Kelvin MSP, and Alison Thewliss, Glasgow Central MP, said following a Single Building Assessment of a development in Glasgow Kelvin and Glasgow Central, as part of its Cladding Remediation Programme, the Scottish Government has taken a precautionary measure to address a fire safety risk.
