A Wetherspoons punter said he diced with death when a piece of ceiling landed on his table, while he was returning from the bar.
Sam Ireton, 31, went to order a drink at the Commercial Rooms in Bristol, when the ceiling fell in on the spot where he had been sitting.
He said he could "easily" have been killed if he was underneath it at the time.
