NEW DELHI: The much-awaited Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) election, to be held on August 12, is headed for an exciting showdown between loyalists of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and those backed by the government.
The official list of nominations has been released. For the 15 posts of office-bearers, who will form part of the next WFI executive committee (EC) for the period 2023-26, the returning officer – former J&K High Court Judge Mahesh Mittal Kumar – has received 32 nominations, including some staking claims on multiple posts.
