Recently, Samantha Ruth Prabhu discussed box breathing in her new health podcast. The second episode of the podcast is available on her social media accounts. In the podcast, Samantha and Toronto-based fitness professional Alkesh have spoken about the detox pathways that involve the liver and kidney, foods that are harmful to liver health, etc. An important part of the discussion was box breathing.
"A substitute for practicing gratitude before we are eating the meal is doing something called box breathing," says Alkesh. "It is breathing in for a count of 8, holding the breath for a count of 8, releasing the breath for a count of 8, and holding for a count of 8 before we inhale again," explains Alkesh. This aids in digestion and detoxification.
