Recently, Namita Thapar, CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, spoke about perimenopause on Shark Tank India. Perimenopause usually starts in your mid 40’s. You experience mood swings, insomnia, hot flashes & many other symptoms. Most women are not aware of the symptoms, treatment options & it can be a very rough & disruptive phase in their lives. It’s been a tough phase for me personally. I was happy to use the Matri pitch to share my journey & educate .. let’s take charge of our health!

What exactly is perimenopause? Perimenopause is the transitional phase preceding menopause, typically beginning in a woman's late 40s to early 50s. During this time, hormonal fluctuations occur as the ovaries gradually reduce estrogen production. Symptoms may include irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and changes in libido. Perimenopause marks the end of reproductive years and can last for several years before menopause is reached. It is a natural part of the aging process, but its symptoms can vary widely among women. Understanding perimenopause is crucial for women's health as they navigate this significant hormonal transition.
