As curious little kids, we used to ask our parents, “Maa, where does Shiv ji live” or “Where does Krishna live”? The replies were both simple and different for them all. Some lived in Mount Kailash, others lived in Nidhivan and some others lived in Banaras.
As we grew up, the narrative changed. God did not reside in Nidhivan or Gokul anymore, but rather in us, in our hearts or our minds. He became omnipresent. So rose the phrase, “Jaha tum dekho, jaha tum maano, waha Bhagwan.” But, we still want answers right? We still want to know where to go to find God and where we pilgrimage to make sure all our wishes are fulfilled!
