It took just 71 seconds for Morocco to take the lead against Steve Clarke’s men, posing an ominous sign for the rest of the game.
Thankfully, for goal difference purposes if nothing else, Scotland managed to stem the flow there, despite not being able to trouble the opposite goal – registering no shots on target.

It leaves the side with three points, and they could be in third place by the time the final whistle sounds in Brazil’s meeting with Haiti.
The Selecao are Scotland’s next game, in the final round of the group stage.
It’s scheduled for an 11pm kick-off, UK time, on Wednesday 24 June, and is set to be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
A win would guarantee their progression, but a draw or loss leaves them open to the third-place lottery.
They could still go through from there, but it would depend how the other third-place sides have fared.
Escaping the group would be a first for Scotland, having never made the knockout rounds.
They are competing in their first World Cup since 1998, where they drew one game and lost the other two, meaning they are already on course to leave with a better record.
Brazil drew with Morocco in their first game, but will be expected to beat Haiti before taking on Scotland, a game they’ll also be favourites for.
