If you've looked at a new SUV lately, you've probably noticed something that has become almost impossible to miss: black plastic.
It's around the wheel arches. It's along the rocker panels. Sometimes it stretches across the lower doors, bumpers, and even parts of the rear hatch. On some SUVs, there's so much of it that it can look like the body was only partially painted.
