When people think about Lord Rama's ancestors, King Dasharatha is often the first name that comes to mind. But centuries before Lord Rama's birth, the Suryavansha dynasty was blessed with a king whose story is unlike any other in Hindu tradition. According to ancient scriptures, this king miraculously conceived and gave birth to a child after accidentally consuming sacred ritual water. His son grew into the legendary King Mandhata, a ruler so powerful that even Ravana is said to have respected his strength. This extraordinary legend also connects directly to one of India's most sacred Jyotirlingas, Omkareshwar.
