If you have ever visited a Shiva temple, you have probably noticed Nandi sitting right in front of the Shiva Linga. He does not look anywhere else. His eyes are always fixed on Lord Shiva. For many people, Nandi is simply Shiva's vehicle. But according to Hindu beliefs, he is much more than that. Nandi is Shiva's greatest devotee, his most trusted companion, and the guardian of Kailash. The story of their bond is filled with faith, love, and complete surrender. That is why Nandi is given such a special place in every Shiva temple.
