Millions of people recite the Hanuman Chalisa every day. Most know the words by heart, but very few understand the extraordinary wisdom hidden in its very first line. Why did Goswami Tulsidas choose the dust of the Guru's lotus feet instead of the feet themselves? This was not poetic decoration. It was a profound spiritual lesson about the human mind, consciousness, and inner transformation. Once you understand this one doha, every recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa begins to feel completely different.
