Building work on thirty eco-friendly homes has begun at a development in Frenchay. A turf-cutting ceremony was held at the Manor Gardens site, off Malmains Drive.
Representatives from South Gloucestershire Council and Aequus Construction, the site’s developer, attended the event to mark the beginning of the works which will see one- to four-bedroom properties erected.
Eleven of these will be affordable homes – eight designated for social rent via Alliance Homes and three available for shared ownership – with the entire development built to Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) energy efficiency standards.
