Developers behind Hull's @TheDock tech campus are creating a speculative net zero office building due for completion next summer.
Wykeland Group will deliver the 11,000 sqft building which will feature roof mounted solar panels and a green roof with flowering plants and a green wall. The property will be all electric, featuring heating, cooling and ventilation system that uses air source heat pumps and takes heat energy from extracted air and uses it to pre-heat incoming air.
Construction is due to begin next month having been delayed to accommodate this year’s Humber Street Sesh and Freedom Festival, which both take place in the Fruit Market area. The @TheDock development is already home to tech and digital businesses and it is hoped the new office will attract another 150 jobs.
