Personally, I say "nothing" but I should more accurately say "everything". It's not that my brain is just on standby doing nothing, it is just thinking very fast to a lot of uncorrelated things without any aim to get a sense out of it. It's just random mental noise, which is easier to refer to as "nothing".

I think that his parents let him be a kid, in a non-judgemental way, and it's great. Because honestly... who cares ? If he wanted to try, let him try ! The only people having a problem with that are those who can't accept that the world could go in another way than the one they decide, and at the end THEY are the one who are creating pain and suffering by judging constantly. Let people do what they want to do, and the world will be a better place. And big up for the mom, that's what parenting should be.
We just use scissors to cut pizza. ;)
