I haven't allowed "All I Want For Christmas" to annoy me that much. There's far more annoying Christmas songs I have to endure every December in the stores. Justin Bieber's "Last Christmas" is like someone emulating nails on a chalkboard with sinus congestion. (Okay it's not Justin Bieber but they sound like JB and belt out the "I'll" part way too loud and too long.)

Maybe a middle ground. The most enjoyable concert I've been to was at a small venue, still rocked out their songs. It wasn't insanely loud, nor was it rowdy. There was some chill times and everyone was respectful. The big arena concert I went to was nothing but a hassle from the start and sensory overload, and I couldn't see any of the band playing on stage. I find acoustic concerts a bit boring to watch for 2 hours.

Aww geez. Don't do this. I think the 80s had more fun with music videos. In the 90s they started to get weirdly abstract, metaphorical and serious. If not that, they just got a lot more raunchier and an excuse for the band, mainly the lead vocalist, to depict themselves like a j*****s. No wonder music channels implemented music video snarky shows like Ed's Fromage and Video On Trial.

Depends on the band. I have a few albums with booklets that have the lyrics and photos, artwork, etc. Billy Talent 'Afraid Of Heights', Three Days Grace 'One-X' , AD Infinitum 'Legacy', Sirenia 'Perils of The Deep Blue', Delerium 'Signs', and more have booklets. One album I have that doesn't have a booklet is from The Birthday M a s s a c r e 'Diamonds' album.

I want to get into vinyl records but the prices of them is astronomical compared to CDs now. I do find records have a richer, vintage quality of sound. CDs are crisper, but they can get scratched so easily. Mind you, records have a tendency to warp.

Some of those songs I associate more with other movies. Bohemian Rhapsody will forever be referenced to Wayne's World. The Lion King soundtrack is entirely tied to the Lion King. You can't hear Hakuna Matata, Circle Of Life, I Can't Wait to be King and Be Prepared and not think of the Lion King, whether or not you like the songs or The Lion King. The question is asking about which soundtrack is unforgettable. Not if you like it.

It's nauseating, actually. I get pretty burned out hearing about Canada being so great, too. Not that we aren't a pretty good country and grateful to live here. It's the boasting thing, and since the US has been slandering Canada, along with every other country on the planet, there's been a huge rise in Canadian pride adverts, adding Canada this and that first in political speeches, and grocery stores pushing shoppers to prioritize Canadian products. Like, enough already. We're not used to this level of nationalism. I don't know how Americans tolerate going on about themselves being great and all that all the time. Don't they get curious about other corners of the world?

I remember being in Grade 1 and being terrified of walking home during a lightning storm. I can't imagine how I would have reacted to prepping for a school shooting. I don't know how all the Pre-K and Kindergartners, Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are able to handle these drills without going into panic mode and crying. Sure, they're drills to prepare, but in the event of an actual school shooter, those kids would forget everything they were planning and freak out.

There's gaps in some washroom stall doors in Canada. I'm elated when I find a fully private washroom and will prefer the no-gap stalls. If I have to use a stall with a gap I take a long piece of toilet paper, bunch a bit at one end and stuff it into the gap, so it provides like a curtain. One place I worked at, our washrooms as a large gap that the managers took advantage of to see what employees are doing on the toilet. It's invasive and humiliating. Plus, some people stand up to wipe and put their bottoms back up. Who wants to see that?

You have to understand, in NK it is a harsh law there to show national pride, boast and think of the "great" leaders as almighty Gods, and allow yourself to be immersed in the brainwashing. Those who don't endure t*****e, forced labour, and possibly public e*******n. If they don't vote or make sure the required pictures of their leaders on their wall is pristine, they will be severely punished. USA citizens have freedom of speech and expression. They can look however they want. Grow food. Eat what they want. Leave the country and come back. Earn however much money they want. Climb the ranks in a business. In NK, everyone is assigned a ranking both working and in life and there's no levelling up. It would benefit Americans to really learn about what actually goes on with regular citizens in a dictatorship.

My mom said she was "shocked" there was a city and the urban area close to the mountains looks like Vancouver to her. She's not the most easily impressed and not an open-minded traveller. She didn't have much good things to say about her trip. I asked her, "What did you expect in this modern era? Grass huts and hula girls everywhere?" "...yeah." XD. Lots of big stores are all over the world now, though. I think the culture aspects, no matter where you are, are right under your nose. It's the different languages, slang, plants and animals, the geography, climate. Best thing to do is research recipes of local dishes and try to make them yourself. Exploring a grocery store in another country is interesting. You never know what you might find you don't see at your own grocery store.

Funny story. My now ex MIL had this cactus for years and was certain it was dying. It wasn't growing and turning brown. She gave it us.
