A teenager who died in prison after being unchecked and unfed for 17 hours should not have been exposed to "unnecessary hardship and deprivation," a coroner has found.
The 19 year old, who can only be identified as Joel for legal reasons, died at the Goulburn Correctional Centre in the southern tablelands of NSW in July 2022.
