The devastating incident occurred on August 29 when Gaudreau and his brother were struck by a suspected drunken driver while riding bicycles in New Jersey. Tkachuk, who played alongside Gaudreau for six seasons in Calgary, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, emphasizing the privilege of their strong bond beyond the game.
