HISTORICAL FACTS: Secluded picnic spot with stunning mountain views in merseyside - The Untold Story

Tucked away down a warren of residential streets is a tiny patch of greenery perfect for a picnic.

St Hilary's Gardens in Wallasey Village, Wirral, is a little-known escape from suburban life that is nestled by the historic church of the same name. Sat between Breck Road and Claremont Road, you can access the space via St Hilary's Drive as it looks out over Wallasey.

Shaded by trees on both sides, you can look out over Wallasey and on clear days you can see across to the Leasowe and Moreton shorelines, the passing traffic on the M53 and all the way to the stunning mountains of North Wales. It is a favourite with dog walkers who are looking to play fetch with their pet and a wonderful spot to stop and read a book.
