Susan Smith, the South Carolina woman serving a life sentence for drowning her two young sons in 1994, has recently been described as a 'complete nightmare' by prison staff. Smith, now 53 years old, was denied parole in November after spending 30 years behind bars.
According to sources at the Leath Correctional Institution, Smith's demeanor has drastically changed. Previously cooperative and pleasant, she is now reported to be rude and difficult to deal with. Some believe that her earlier behavior was merely an act to secure her release from prison.
