Airlines urge more competition on used jet engine parts
Global airlines are pushing jet-engine makers to make it easier for independent suppliers to sell reconditioned parts, arguing greater competition could ease shortages and maintenance costs. The call follows an EU settlement that forced Pratt & Whitney Canada to loosen restrictions on used turboprop engine parts.
