Karnataka's Shivamogga division of KSRTC has spent ₹17.34 crore on the Shakti scheme, allowing women to travel free since June 11. Over 76 lakh women have availed the benefit, with the State government to reimburse the expenses. Supervisors have been deputed and additional buses provided to manage the demand.
